Drama drama everywhere!

Hey all!

So next week while you're watching Hamlet, keep a watchful eye out for the following and then write a review:

-acting: did you like it? why? why not?
-set: was it huge? small? useful? distracting?
-costumes: were they nice? did they stand out?
-lights: were there any cool effects? how did they help the mood?

Draw the set please!

Due October 14th! 12pt. font, times new roman, single spaced. Title page please!

ALSO!

Due October 21st!

Create an improvisation notebook that clearly instructs the reader how to play five improvisation games and activities. The notebook should be neat and well organized. Al of the material must be in your own words!

Each activity must include:

-materials needed
-how many can play
-the title of the activity
-the source for the activity (where you found it)
-instructions and/or rules
-how the game is useful to actors and theater.

Work for the Home :)

Another Tuesday, another drama class. Everyone did great with Freeze! Remember the rules and keep up the good work!

Homework!

Every week you must complete two of your Daily Bell Work questions. Answer the first two to the best of your abilities as we haven't done too many games yet.

DUE SEPT 30th! Your improvisation project. A compilation of 100 famous lines, lyrics, quotes and sayings in a booklet. You can go up to triple spaced and the writing can be any reasonable size, but the bigger it is the more paper you'll need, so keep it small and simple! You need a title page with YOUR NAME and the date it is due. You do not need 100 of each, just 100 in total. If you have any questions or problems, please contact us. You all have my e-mail!

See you next week for more improvisational excitement!

Theatrical Preview!

Good Morning Thespians!

September the 27th there is an Open Door event at the Meadowvale Theater in Mississauga. Patrons will receive tours around the facility, including the opportunity to set foot on the stage itself! The event runs from 12 pm to 4pm and it's FREE!

This is a wonderful opportunity to visit a live theater and get to see behind the scenes, putting your knowledge into practice!

So set the 27th on your calendar and don't miss your chance!

Bring in any pictures you happen to take and we'll chat about it in class and put up some picture ot make the drama room more dramatic!
